

Ingeborg ‘Inge’ Buonomo, 90 of Lecanto, Florida died on Tuesday, September 16, 2014. She was born in San Jose, California on Tuesday, March 18, 1924 to Ludwig Richard and Emma (Heilmann) Sperling. Inge won a scholarship to the Chicago Institute of Art while in high school and moved to this area thirty years ago from Westwood, Massachusetts. She was a Dental Hygentist in the WACS during WWII and also, an excellent mother and homemaker. Inge’s art work was featured at the Forest Ridge library and the library at Brentwood. She was a member of Citrus Hills Golf and Country Club, where she modeled numerous times for the fashion shows. Inge met and married her husband, Frank while they were in the service. Inge and Frank were the only couple married that, were on the Veteran’s Honor Flight to D.C. in October of 2011. During their tour of the Capital, they visited the WWII Memorial, Vietnam Memorial and watched the changing of the guard at Arlington National Cemetery.
Inge was preceded in death by her sisters, Henrietta ‘Henny’ Wittenmeier and Irene Stanek.
Survivors include her loving husband of 68 years, Frank Buonomo of Lecanto, Florida; sons, Gary Buonomo of Hudson, New Hampshire and Ron Buonomo and wife Terry of Sugar Land, Texas; granddaughters, Diane Buonomo of Hudson, New Hampshire and Jennifer Buonomo of Manchester, New Hampshire and nephews, Gary and John Wittenmeier both of Washington.
Services for Inge will be private and take place at Florida National Cemetery with Military Honors.
