Ira. G. Siegel, 77, of Hernando, Florida, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at his home. A native of Brooklyn, New York, he was born August 19, 1934 to Max and Ida (Friedman) Siegel. Ira moved here six years ago from Middle Island, Long Island, New York and was a retired salesman of medical supplies during his professional life. Mr. Siegel was of the Jewish faith and served as President of Congregation Beth Sholom, Beverly Hills, Florida. Ira loved to play golf at local Citrus County courses. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Joan S. Siegel of Hernando, Florida; son Dr. Arthur Siegel (Laura) of Scotch Plains, New Jersey; daughter Deborah Jackson of Amityville, New York; son Lonnie Jackson of Rocky Point, New York; daughter Meryl Siegel Ward (David) of North Merrick, New York and grandchildren Rachael, Jeremy, Alexandra, Joseph and Skylar.
