

Louise E. Michel Pietroczewski passed away on Sunday, July10, 2011 at St.Joseph Medical Center in St. Charles, Missouri. She was born on Saturday, April 29, 1922 in Fleron, Belgium. She was a World War II war bride and was very active in the World War II War Brides Association. She and her daughter came to the United States in 1946 and settled in Detroit Michigan. She was employed as a seamstress by Ford Motor Company in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
In 1972 she married the love of her life Adam Pietroczewski. Lou and Adam later retired to Beverly Hills, Florida where she resided for over 20 years. She moved to Cottleville, Missouri in July of 2010, where she lived with her daughter and grandson, Bill until her passing. Louise was a fun loving and youthful spirit. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She was still making lap-blankets for the Nursing Home and VA Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Adam and parents Julia and Gaston Michel. She is survived by her daughter Michele Thomas of Cottleville, Missouri, granddaughter Jacquelyn Potter and husband Richard of St. Louis, Missouri, grandson David Thomas and wife Amy of Sanford, Florida, grandson William Thomas of Cottleville, Missouri, brother Leon Michel and wife Janet of Lincoln, Michigan, nephew Roger Michel and wife Melissa of Beverly Hills, Florida and niece Karen Minassian and husband George of Farmington Hills, Michigan as well as several cousins in Belgium.
Visitation, Monday, July 18, 2011 from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. and Funeral Service following at Fero Funeral Home, 5955 N. Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, Florida 34465.
