Raymond E. Boyle, 83 of Altoona, Florida, passed away suddenly on October 16, 2020. Ray grew up in the Philadelphia, PA area. He married a spirited Irish lass, Maureen, and raised his family in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. He had a long, distinguished career traveling the world recruiting flight attendants for United Airlines. Ray relished his retirement years in Beverly Hills and Altoona, FL. He enjoyed golfing (badly) and in his later years became passionate about biking. He cherished spending time with his family and doting on his grandchildren who knew him affectionately as ‘Popie’. Ray greeted everyone with a warm smile on his face and a twinkle in his eyes.
Ray was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Maureen Boyle, and his beloved sister, Maryanne Smyth.
Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Kimes and husband Neil of Clearwater, FL; his sons, James Boyle and wife Jennifer of Lake in the Hills, IL and Ray Boyle and wife Debbie of Lombard, IL; his six grandchildren Abigail, Daniel, Megan, Conor, RJ and Gavin; and his ten nieces and nephews.
Interment will be private.
