Richard J. Patterson

Richard and his wife of 52 years moved from Valley Stream, NY to Florida in 2001. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Richard was a former Stationary Engineer in New York City and retired in 2000. His hobbies were reading and gardening. Richard loved cruising, swimming, fishing, playing cards and BINGO. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and a good joke.

Richard is survived by his loving wife Patricia (Pat) of Lecanto, 4 children Timothy Patterson and his wife Donna of New Jersey, Katherine and her husband Peter Parides of New York, John Patterson of Lecanto and Richard Patterson Jr. of Beverly Hills, Fl. brother Daniel Patterson of Guilford, Ct. and grandchildren Emily and Matthew of New Jersey. Richard was predeceased by his brothers John and Patrick and his sister Mary Ann Kaufman.

Richard was a parishioner of St. Scholastica Roman Catholic Church, a life time member of the American Irish Club, member of the American Legion Post 155, B.O.P Elks Post 2693 and the Knights of Columbus Council 14485.

Family and friends may visit at the Fero Funeral Home 5955 N. Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, Fl. on Tuesday June 20th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Scholastica Roman Catholic Church 4310 W. Homosassa Trail, Lecanto, Fl. on Wednesday June 21st at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at the Fero Memorial Gardens, Beverly Hills, Fl.
