April 16, 1937 - May 8, 2026
Ronny passed away peacefully in Beverly Hills, Florida at the age of 89.
Ronny was born and raised in Stuttgart, Germany and moved to the United States as a young adult. She was quite the Renaissance woman. A loving mother, an artist, a photographer, a bluegrass musician, a writer and huge animal lover. Since childhood she was a lifelong artist exploring many art mediums from drawing and oil painting until she discovered her love of sculpture, primarily bronze sculpture. Ronny used her love of music, mainly jazz, bluegrass and
the blues, and wove it into her multitude of works which she took on the road to art festivals across the country.
Although she was a natural self taught artist, she decided to obtain a degree in Art History graduating from the University of Houston in 1980. She also became a proud US Citizen in 1993.
Ronny lived in Germany, New Jersey, Texas, Colorado and for the last few years in Florida. Palmer Lake, Colorado was her primary home of 25 years where she had her studio at the Tri Lakes Center for the Arts and also taught sculpture classes. She was well loved and revered in her community. Anyone that knew Ronny would see her walking daily around Palmer Lake with her bichon Raphael. She was a huge bichon lover and had 3 of them over the course of many years. A lot of her paintings and sculptures included those little white dogs.
Ronny moved to Beverly Hills, Florida so that she could be closer to her son Brian and his wife Suzette who cared for her for the past 3 years.
Ronny was preceded by her parents Karl and Dorothea Bomm, her sister Doris Bolle, her former husbands John Feher and Cliff Walker and her youngest daughter, Nicole Tamminga.
Ronny is survived by her partner of 25 years, Robin Andrews, daughters Jeannette Lee, Colette
Simms and son, Brian Walker. Ronny leaves behind 5 grandsons, Michael Simms, Ryan Laning, Luke and Troy Tamminga and Blake Lee as well as 2 great-grandchildren, Liam and Penelope Simms.
Ronny, you will be forever in our hearts.
