Thomas Frederick Barker Quimby was born April 27, 1959 in Burlington, Vermont to the late Albert and Mary (Barker) Quimby. He passed on February 3, 2026, at the age of 66. He was a resident of Citrus Springs, Florida, since 2008, coming here from Maryland.
Beloved husband of Beverly Quimby. Devoted stepdad to Jeffrey Smith (and his wife Melissa, who was also Thom's backup caregiver) and Travis LeMaire. Devoted grandfather of Kohlie, Jaxon, and Ayden. He was previously widowed by Shirley Quimby, and devoted stepfather to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Thom was also a loving brother-in-law to William Schmuff (wife Marlene) and the late Robert Schmuff. Thom is also preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, William and Elizabeth Schmuff. He is also survived by many loving extended family members and friends.
Thom was a kind gentle man. Thom could make friends with anybody. He always had a smile and good attitude towards life, despite all his obstacles and challenges. He always persevered. We often referred to him as the "energizer bunny". Aside from being my husband he was my best friend and my strength.
He loved all cars, especially restored older cars and hot rods. Prior to him relocating to Citrus Springs, he was a proud member of the Ocean City Cruzers in Maryland, and proudly owned a 1957 Thunderbird and a 1965 Cobra Replica. He loved football and was a loyal fan to the Colts.
He was loved by all , and he will be missed so much.
A Celebration of Thom's life will be announced for a future date at Fero Funeral Home, Beverly Hills, FL.
