

Augusta (Belinda) Morrison was the fourth of seven children born on August 6, 1933 in Bessemer, Alabama to the late Calvin and Mary Williams.
Augusta transitioned from time into eternity on Monday, December 12, 2022. Augusta began her kingdom walk with Jesus at an early age at Saint Peters Primitive Baptist Church where she gave her life to the Lord, and received her first baptism. She later experienced a second baptism in the Jordan River during a visit to Israel. Augusta also received the baptism in the Holy Spirit, and practiced the presence of walking daily with Him. She later joined Bethel Baptist Church during these faithful years of fellowship, she authored: The Greatest Gift the World has Ever Known, which was presented at Bethel April of 1988. She directed and produced several plays to include: The Challenge of the Cross, Paul’s Missionary Journey and The Twelve Keys to Life. Augusta Morrison absolutely loved children often directing and producing children Christmas and Easter Program.
A board certified licensed professional nurse, Augusta served the patients of Children’s Hospital of Alabama with heartfelt dedication and compassion for over 30 years. Augusta received her AA degree from Lawson State Community College.
Augusta enjoyed traveling abroad, having visited: Israel, England, and Jamaica as well as Hawaii and throughout the continental United States.
Those who preceded her in death, and there to greet her at heaven’s gate are: Mr. Calvin Sr. and Mary Williams her parents. Siblings: Lucy Mae Hicks, Clarice Bassett, Joyce Hollis, Eunice Avery, and Calvin Williams Jr. We also remember two very special people who were dearly loved: Kimberley Morrison her granddaughter, and Isaiah Michael Moore, her great- grandson.
Those who remain to cherish her memory forever are her three children: Sandra Shrell Moore (Jimmy), Kenneth Dewayne Morrison (Mary), and Angela Morrison; Two grandsons: Michael Joseph Morrison and Michael James Moore (Ashley); Three great-grandchildren: Adrian Wilson, Rachael Wilson, and Josiah Moore; One brother, James Williams (Ovetta); sister-in-law, Anna Williams (Calvin Jr.); and one cousin, Linda Worthy. As well as a host of nieces and nephews who affectionally called her Aunt-Tee & Aunt Sugar. Finally, we remember her friends of many years from Bethel Baptist Church and Children’s Hospital.
A special thank you to those who supported us as we cared for her such as: Caregivers at True Care Services specifically Jesetta Mallory, and the nurses of Oasis Hospices.
Thank you, mama, for your love, protection, and dedication. May those angels, a constant presence at the foot of your bed, sing thee to thy rest!
