Augustine Joseph Angrisano, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, was called home to the Lord Sunday, October 27, 2019 at the age of 79. Augie was born on November 28, 1939 in Ensley, Alabama to Jack and Mary Angrisano. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Neal Angrisano. Augie is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Angrisano, his sister, Virginia Angrisano, his sons, Steve Angrisano (Jenni) and Michael Angrisano (Janine), grandchildren Julia Hill (Jordan), Benjamin Angrisano, Joshua Angrisano (Emily), Emily Angrisano and Joseph Angrisano, great-granddaughters Josie Rae Hill and Willow Anne Angrisano. Augie played football at Ensley High School before attending and graduating from the University of Alabama. He met the love of his life, Jo Ann (Caiola) Angrisano, when he was 18. They wed on July 2, 1964 and remained in love and happily married for 55 years. In his 20-year career with IBM, Augie rose from typewriter salesman to Regional Manager and moved from Birmingham (AL) to Atlanta (GA), Columbia (SC), Newport Beach (CA), and Dallas (TX). His experience and relationships at IBM led to another 20 years of business successes including Vice President positions at Epson Computer and Avid Technologies. Upon returning to Birmingham in 2000, Augie opened a Primrose Preschool where he was greatly loved and well known as “Mr. Augie” by hundreds of children and parents for nearly a decade. Augie was famously generous and took every opportunity to love, encourage, nurture and treasure his family. He also enjoyed watching Alabama football, playing golf and cards at Hoover Country Club, and spending time with his many friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church with a Celebration of Augie’s life and a Funeral Mass following at 11:00 A.M.
