Bee McWane Reid

Bee was born in Birmingham, Alabama to William McWane and Louise Nevins McWane. She grew up in Birmingham and attended Smith College. She was an accomplished golfer winning the Alabama Women’s State Amateur Golf Championship five times. She was also a licensed pilot. She lived for many years in both Chattanooga, Tennessee and then Naples, Florida until returning to Birmingham, Alabama later in life.

Bee is preceeded in death by her brothers William McWane, Jr. and James Ransom McWane. Bee is survived by her niece Anna McLester McWane and her nephew Charles Phillip McWane and several great nieces and nephews.
