Betty, age 83 went to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 1st, 2015. She sang in the choir at Huffman Baptist Church and was a member for 40 years. Betty worked for 20 years at US Pipe and then worked another 20 years at Collateral Mortgage before retiring. She loved music, horses, and mostly her family. She is predeceased by her grandson, Robert Smithey and great granddaughter, Autumn Smithey. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Joe Harlan Bush; daughter, Pam Smithey (Gary); brother, John Prescott (Ruth); grandchildren, Gary Smithey Jr., Andre Smithey, and Kristy Jackson; and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 5th, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Elmwood Chapel with services immediately following at 2:00 pm.
