Betty Daniel Hazel, 86, of Birmingham passed away October 19, 2019. She was born January 14, 1933 in Langdale, Alabama to Roy C. Daniel and Effie Kate Pitts Daniel. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Rev. Charles Hazel, Sr. She is survived by two children Charles Hazel Jr (Vicki), Angie Hazel Milner (Bruce), four grandchildren Charles (Chuck) Rudd (Kelli), Matthew Milner, Angela Sciascia (Jeff), Rachel Mattioli (Brian) and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Sarah Daniel Williams and Mary Daniel Wickham and a brother James Daniel. Betty served as a devoted Methodist minister's wife of the North Alabama Conference for 45 years. She also worked at Jefferson State Community College in the Registrars office for 15 years. There will be a family only funeral and burial. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Huffman United Methodist Church Birmingham, Al.
