He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Kennedy Barnett; parents, Lessie Usrey Barnett and Chesley A. Barnett, Jr.; son, Billy Scott Barnett and daughter, Donna Barnett Wright.
He is survived by his daughters, Jenni Falkner (Kevin) and Jill Barnett; sister, Patsy Argent; brothers, Henry D. Barnett (Delores) and Chesley A. Barnett III (Jayne); 6 grandchildren, Robert Russell (Kristi), Kathryn Leatherwood (Brandon), Kara Wright, Chelsea, Patrick and Jenna Falkner; 4 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Bill retired from CSX Railroad as a Locomotive Engineer. He loved coaching girls’ softball and planting gardens. He truly loved his family.
His family will receive friends Sunday Oct. 8, 2017 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM. Earl Barnett will officiate.
