BYRD, BILLIE B., age 84 of Trussville, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ben Byrd; and parents, Erah and Bisco Byce. She is survived by her sons, Joe Byrd, Gary Byrd (Johnna) and Mike Byrd (Lesa); daughter, Judy Connally (Joe); brother, Joe Byce; sister, Shirley Woods; grandchildren, Wesley Black (Erin), Ryan Byrd (Kelsey), Scott Connally (Amanda), Abigail Connally, Sherry Beckham (Beau), Christopher Byrd, Jennifer Byrd and Andrew Connally; great-grandchildren, Kylie Hines, Eli Black, Caleb Black and Jovie Byrd; and numerous nieces and nephews. Billie was a dedicated mother, grandmother and longtime church member of Lake Highland Baptist Church. Her family will receive friends on Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 5-7 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Her service will be at the chapel on Friday, August 1, 2014 beginning at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
