

Billie Cooper Higginbotham age 90 of McCalla, AL passed away December 14, 2015 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Billie is survived by three sons, Robert (Lori), Steve (Cindi) and Frank. Grandson’s Wes and Tyler. Billie graduated from Ramsey High School and attended both Auburn and Howard Universities receiving both a BA and Master’s degree in Education. She dedicated forty years of her life to the teaching profession. She was a champion in both diving and swimming competitions. After her successful battle with breast cancer she spent countless hours raising money for Cancer charities. In her retirement years she and husband Morris (Coach) Higginbotham had countless and fond memories of traveling throughout the United States and Canada. She was an avid tennis player and competed in Birmingham tennis leagues well into her 70’s. In Loving Memory To the one who always gave with job, brightened eyes and an inspiring heart while never expecting anything in return. She was a rock and the epitome of a strong woman balancing both career and family. She was Amazing. We Love you with all our hearts.
