Sims, Carl Dewitt, age 88 ,of Birmingham, passed away Friday, December 2, 2011.Carl is preceded in death by his loving wife 63 years , Ruby Nelle Sims. He is survived by his son, Jonathan Sims (Caprice); grandsons, Jon Tyler Sims and Hunter Sims. Carl and Ruby Nelle were active members of the Huffman Baptist Church. His family will receive friends on Monday, December 5, 2011 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel from 11 AM to12 Noon. His service will begin at 12 noon in the chapel with Rev. Larry Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to Huffman Baptist Church.
