June was born on May 16, 1939, in Selma, Alabama to Louise and Henry Twilley.
She was married to Robert “Bubba” Franklin for 48 years until his passing in 2008. June is also preceded in death by her mother, Louise Slade; her father, Henry Twilley; her sister, Peggy Tillman; and her brother, Henry “Buck” Twilley.
Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Tracy (Tony) Isbell; Jody (Terri) Franklin; and Heather (Jeremy) Renfroe; five grandchildren, Keith Franklin; Amy Greenwood; Austin Isbell; Erin Isbell; and Kristen Franklin; four great-grandchildren, Bryant Greenwood; Waylon Isbell; Emree Greenwood; and Caroline Pearson; along with her two sisters, Diane (John) Usher; and Betty Shepherd. She is also survived by her beloved Trixie.
June made being a mother her priority and was supportive and involved in all of her kids passions; from Tracy and Jody’s love of showing horses to Heather’s beauty pageants. Ever the fashionista, June was an avid shopper who was always eager to find a sale. When she wasn’t stimulating the economy, she enjoyed reading and gardening. She was a member of the Trussville Saddle Club for many years and a devoted member of New Beginnings Fellowship Church where she volunteered her time in the food pantry.
A Celebration of June’s Life will be on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel at 2:00 pm with a visitation beginning at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers are Keith Franklin, Austin Isbell, Jay Segers, Jimmy Kitchens, John Pate, and Todd Miller.
