BARTON, CAROLYN E., age 79 of Birmingham, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015. She was born in Lyerly, GA on April 19, 1936. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harper and Madelyn Edwards; and 3 infant sisters. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Barton (Melanie); daughter, Kristal Salter (Robert); foster son, David Gerk (Sherry); brother, Steve Edwards (Marie); and grandchildren, Raven Matthews, Vann Salter and Shyanne Salter. She graduated from the Berry Schools class of 1953 in Rome, Georgia and retired from Associated Groceries in 2013. Her family invites you to join in a celebration of her life on Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 5-7 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UAB Pallative Care.
