Catherine Langston Walls Satterlee, 83 of Hueytown, Alabama. Cathy went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday the 26th of July, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Satterlee, her mother Mildred Langston, and her sisters Sue Bailey and Emily Cole. She is survived by her 3 sons Scott Walls, Randy and Debbie Walls and Kevin and Jamie Walls, her grandchildren Landon, Catherine and Colby White, Kirsten, Kylee, Noah, and Jacob, and her precious dog Molly.
Cathy was born on August 17th, 1941 in Birmingham, Alabama to Mildred Langston. She graduated in 1959 from Jones Valley High School in Birmingham, Alabama. She retired from the Jefferson County Circuit Civil Court in 2004.
Cathy loved traveling but her favorite places to be were in Panama City Beach and camping at Wind Creek State Park. She was a faithful member of Concord Baptist Church in Hueytown, Alabama. She also loved watching Alabama football and the Atlanta Braves.
Cathy was known and will be remembered for her love of family and friends, hospitality as well as cooking, and the way she cared for others. She loved her 3 boys fiercely and was always happy to share about her grandchildren. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she enjoyed hosting her yearly office Christmas party! Her Christmas decorations went up after Thanksgiving and her yard lit up the street!
Cathy will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 with visitation from 12:00-2:00pm and service beginning at 2:00pm at Johns-Ridout's Elmwood Chapel and burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to Flags Across America and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
