PHILLIPS, CHERYL, age 66 of Trussville, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Phillips; daughter, Lori Sager; father, Elbert Hunnings; brother, Ron Hunnings; and sister, Janet Rahamut. She is survived by her daughters, Pat Conwell (Bobby), Bonnie Flippo, Brenda Baggett (David), Connie Kaderi, Michele Jackson (Chris) and Rhonda Smith (Tom); son, Lee Digby; mother, Lila Hunnings; brother, Larry Hunnings (Sandy); sisters, Sandra Lewis and Karen Hunnings; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Cheryl was a loving wife, wonderful mother and fantastic grandmother. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 from 5-7 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Her service will be at the chapel on Thursday, June 28, 2012 beginning at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society or your local animal shelter in honor of her love for her cats.
