Dr. Claude Maxwell Holland, Jr. 90 died on October 14, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Holland. He is survived by his loving daughters Linda Klopack (Brian), Helen Elcott (Mike) and Kathy Cook (Tom); eight grandchildren James, Eric, Michael, Nicholas, Chelsea, Anna, Caroline and Geoffrey and his beloved companion Bodine McKay. He served as a flight officer during World War II. He received his medical degree from UAB in May 1952. He served as Chief Resident at University Hospital from July 1956 to June 30, 1957. He was the last chief resident under Dr. Tinsley Harrison. He practiced internal medicine, and then returned to UAB to further his medical degree in Psychiatry in November 1969. He retired at age 71.
