Dr. Holland, I worked for you in the early 1960's when you started out in internal medicine in Anniston Al.  I will never forget you. You  were kind and considerate to the employees and the patients. Rest in God's peace.

Dear Linda, Helen and Kathy, I just looked up your father's information to find he had died.  I had been meaning to for some time, and should have reached out sooner.  Your father was a dear friend of my father, Henry Kratt, from his time in Birmingham. (Your mother, Mary, was a favorite too).  Your father was a great support to Henry, when he was dying of lung cancer in 2010, and was so good to drive over to Meridian for the funeral.  I know you will miss your father's keen intellect, sense of humor, and serendipity.  I recall your father showing up at my dad's in Birmingham, one summer day unannounced.  He had a dozen or so limes, and said, "Henry, I've come over to make some limeade". And so we did. And at my dad's funeral, after the preliminaries, we went straight to controversial politics.  I liked your dad.  My condolances to each of you and your families in this loss.

Sisters, I am sorry to hear that you lost your Dad.  Please allow me to mention that I went to school with John.  He was a great guy, with so much enthusiasm.  Both your Dad, and John, will always be remembered. My sincerest condolences.  God Bless!
