Corinne Timberlake Ray, 85 of Hoover, AL., passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Ray and her son, Stanley Franklin Ray. She is survived by her son, Marshall Timberlake Ray and her daughter, Carolyn Ray Lambert, both of Birmingham and grandchildren: Casey Franklin Ray, Corey Jason Ray, Barry Walker Lambert II, Jonathan Franklin Lambert, and Mary Grace Lambert. She was born on July 16, 1927. She graduated from Birmingham Southern College and earned a Masters degree from UAB. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, the Shades Crest Literary Club and the Magic City Doll Club. Mrs. Ray was a teacher at Berry High School. She was also a long time member of the Bluff Park United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Bluff Park United Methodist Church at 11 am with visitation beginning at 10 am. Burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery.
