Cynthia “Cindy” Leah Stowe Roper passed into eternity on March 24, 2026. Cindy was a fun-loving young girl who loved animals and adventure. From bike riding to horseback riding and barefoot skiing, Cindy could do it all. She most of all loved horses and horseback riding and caring for farm animals and dogs. After graduating from Woodlawn High School (Homecoming Queen, 1974), Cindy worked in the medical field. She was loved by her fellow workers and nieces and nephews and always had a joke or a funny story to tell. Cindy is preceded in death by her mother, Anne Stowe; father, Charles L. Stowe; and sister, Cheryl Stowe McVea. Cindy is survived by her husband of 22 years, Tim Roper; younger sister Susie (Mike) Schor; nieces and nephews, Sean McVea, Summer Schor, Michael Schor, Susanna Schor, and Matthew Schor; and last but not least, her beloved dog, Sadie. Cindy’s family will celebrate her life with visitation on Monday, March 30, 2026 from 12-1 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with her service beginning at 1:00. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
