Dian Raines Roy, of Birmingham passed away on August 23, 2013. Dian was retired from Southtrust Bank after over 30 years of service and was a 1959 graduate of Ensley High School. She lived most of her life in Bessemer, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Marie Raines. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, L. C. Ted Roy, daughters, Kimberly Roy Cottis (Doug), Kelly Dian Roy, son Kyle Roy (Denise), brothers Glenn O. Raines, Dr. Raymond C. Raines (Debbie); grandchildren, Nikki Patun Currie, Neil Hatton, Chris Cottis, Courtney Cottis Walker(Jason), Carson Cottis and Kyler Roy; great-grandchildren, Fischer Patun , FiFi Patun and Beckham Currie, as well as several nieces and nephews. Dian will be greatly missed and she will be remembered for her keen sense of humor and her devotion to her family. Visitation will be At Elmwood Cemetery Wednesday August 28th from 5 to 7pm. Funeral service at Elmwood Chapel Thursday August 29th at 11:00 am, with burial following at Elmwood Cemetery, Birmingham.
