Donald "Donnie" Carter, age 65 of Pinson, AL went to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ on May 23, 2014. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He shared his love of the Lord with many people. He was preceded in death by his father, Buford Carter and aunt, Lillian Carter. Donnie is survived by his wife of 46 years, Diane Carter; sons, David Carter and Daniel (Mandy) Carter; grandsons, Taylor and Tyler Carter, with the U.S. Army; granddaughter, Gracie Carter and several wonderful sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. A special thanks to the Veterans Hospital in Birmingham, AL and New Beacon Hospice. Visitation will be Monday, May 26, 2014 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 10 am at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
