Don loved to go fishing , hunting and gardening. He was a graduate of Hewitt Trussville High School. Don also served in the United States Army.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence (Mac) and Mary Elliott; brother, Edward Elliott and sisters, Mary Alice Graves and Barbara Martin.
Those left to cherish his memories, his wife Fern, of Trussville; sons, Daniel , Bradley, Shawn and Patrick; 2 stepsons, Tony Smith and Doug Smith; 2 sisters, Myra Perry and Susan Skinner and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews
