Doris was born on April 17, 1938, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to Roy and Gladys (Ezell) Hinton. She began playing the piano at a very early age and carried a lifelong love of music. Even in her later years, she could sit down and play her beloved hymns entirely by memory. Doris was a dedicated member of Main Street Baptist Church and graduated from Hattiesburg High School in 1956.
Following her graduation, Doris married Max L. Osborne. They made Birmingham, Alabama their home and began building their family. Doris worked as a stenographer for Hays International for several years before leaving her career to become a full-time mother. She thrived in her role, lovingly raising their three children. In her later years, her fur baby, Katie was her joy and constant companion.
Doris and Max were lifelong members of Roebuck Park Baptist Church which later became NorthPark Baptist Church, where she was an active choir member and faithfully played the piano for her Sunday School class.
A Christian, daughter, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Doris was deeply proud of her family and its legacy.
