Earley J Pleasant

Earley James (Johnny) Pleasant was born January 3, 1948 in Geiger, Al to John and Mariah Pleasant. He was the oldest of three children. Johnny attended Holy Family Elementary School and graduated from Holy Family High School and he served in the US Marine Corps and received an honorable discharge in 1969. He attended Lawson State Community College and was employed with Jim Walters Resources for over thirty (30) years, before his health failed and he then retired. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mariah Pleasant; his sister Dorothy Jean Nixon, and his niece Nicole Nixon-Nixon. He was married to Lorene Johnson and to this union two daughters were born, Sheretta Jaquise and Feeneishia Meoishia.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters: Sheretta (Thomas) Stinson and Feeneishia (James Rodgers); one brother, Jimmy (Hope); one sister, Gretchen Watkins; four grandchildren: Akira (Deandre) Bonner; Amya Green, Torrey Stinson and Trinity Stinson; two great grandsons: Aiden and Ethan Bonner; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. A special long time and caring friend, Miranda “Amanda” Miles.

I am so blessed to have known you. Can’t remember the exact date you came to Skyline Village but know you brought that great big smile with you. You were so generous with that smile and kind to everyone you met . You will be missed my friend. It dawned on me last night Auburn gave you a final going away gift. WAR EAGLE my friend ❤️❤️
