I just read the obituary...I remember Emily Jo at mother's funeral telling me that mother was up there frying chicken for your dad...made me smile.

my heart is breaking for a huge loss for everyone. she was very special to me and i will dearly miss her. i have lots of memories from a funny and gentle person. i will miss you and will see you again someday MISS M! GOD BLESS your family and may he send them what they need at this time of great loss. thank you for all your hugs & i love yous!

Lindalu and family, there are too many memories to list, but growing up in a neighborhood where all the parents had a good time together and all the children played outside, are days we all miss and may never see again in this world.  Emily and my Mom, Bess Wakefield, were good friends throughout my life and I'll never forget a trip they took together to visit me in 
Florida.  We had a blast!  I can still picture our Moms sitting at the kitchen tables on Martinwood,  "talking", sipping a little punch (lol) and sharing the latest.  What great, lifelong friends they were.  Emily has such a special place in my heart and I hold it so dear.  Rest Ms. Emily and we will meet again.  My prayers for all of your family in such a profound loss.  Love, Joann

Mrs Thompson was the perfect Roomate for my mother.  She kept track of whatever happened, and never hesitated to make her feelings known if anything was amiss.  We loved her and her sense of humor.   I miss her.
