Emmett Allen McWilliams

McWilliams, Emmett Allen, age 88 of Birmingham, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Emmett retired from First National Bank of Birmingham with 36 years of service and was always referred to as Mr. Mac by employees and friends. He was a US Army veteran who served in WW II and was a member of the Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Cecilly Ann McWilliams. He is survived by his loving family, two daughters, Cindy Spann (Fletcher) and Alana Bass (Danny); his son, Allen McWilliams (Jamie); grandchildren, Amy Spann, Trey Spann, Lee Davis (Suri), Ashley Persall (Wes), Tyler Bass, and Alex McWilliams; great grandchildren, Austin Spann, Aaron Spann, Ryan Spann, Nolen Davis, and Jackson Davis.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 3:00 PM from Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens and Rev. Tom Parrish will officiate the service. The family ask that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church, 2541 Rocky Ridge Road, Birmingham, AL 35243.
