

Eredean obtained her early education in Montgomery Alabama. She attended Trinity Lutheran school where she developed a love for learning. After graduating eighth grade Eredean went on to high school at the, Alabama State Laboratory School for gifted students. She excelled in every subject and continued her love for learning after graduating from high school.
Eredean attended Alabama State College for Negros (Named 1948 - 1954). She was so beloved on campus that the student body nominated her for “Miss Alabama State” twice. Once as a sophomore, and once as a junior. They tried to nominate her a third time for “Miss Alabama State”, but she graciously declined to give another candidate the opportunity to represent the student body.
After she graduated with her bachelors degree in education in 1952, Eredean continued her education by obtaining a masters degree in Art from the Alabama State College for Negroes in 1954.
Eredean later taught Art for the Jefferson County Schools. While living and working in Birmingham Eredean met and married the love of her life, Robert A. Veale Jr. in 1973. With this marriage, Bob also welcomed Eredeans’ daughter, Felicia Sanders. Their union was blessed for 51 years.
Eredean was predeceased by her parents, Jelean Jefferson Johnson, and John George Sanders. Her loving husband, Robert A. Veale Jr. Two brothers: John Raymond Sanders (Birmingham, Alabama) and George Sanders (Birmingham, Alabama). Two half-sisters: Evelyn Sanders Perez (Birmingham, Alabama) and Mary George Sanders Poole (Birmingham, Alabama).
Eredean is survived by her daughter, Felicia, Sanders (Cleveland, Ohio), half sister Maza Sanders Webb (McDonough, Georgia) and a host of other relatives and friends.
