RUTLEDGE, EVELYN TICKLE, age 93 of Birmingham formerly of Springville, peacefully went to be with the Lord on February 13, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Garland “Tex” Tickle and John Rutledge. She is survived by her daughter, Frances Tickle Mize; sons, Charlie Tickle (Barbara) and George Tickle (Julie); sister, Brenda Beason Stupic (John); 8 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Evelyn was a member of Asbury Methodist Church and resident of Danberry Retirement Community. She was formerly a longtime member of Springville Baptist Church. Her family will receive friends on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 12:30 – 1:30 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with her service beginning at 1:30. Burial will follow at Reeves Grove Cemetery.
