

Frances Lovoy Diliberto, 91, of Birmingham, passed away peacefully at home on December 31, 2024. She was born on July 28, 1933. Frances was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend.
She was lovingly known as Mamaw, Chick, and Frannie. She was always up for a cocktail and a good time, taking pictures (even when her camera was always malfunctioning) and Sunday pasta family dinners.
Frances was very committed to her Catholic faith. She was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, serving on the board and the Altar Sodality for many years. She rejoiced in praying her rosary and attending weekly adoration.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Mary Ragusa Lovoy.
She is survived by her sons, Carlo B. (Patty) Diliberto and Anthony “Tony” (Patsy) Diliberto; grandchildren, Kim (Bill) Cofield, Carla Diliberto, Tony (Amelia) Diliberto, Chris Diliberto, Justin Diliberto, and Maria Diliberto; great-grandchildren, Nicole (Jon) Piteo, and Chase Cofield; great-great grandchildren, Caden Cofield, Presley Cofield, Leo Diliberto, Hudson Piteo and Scottie Ann Piteo; numerous cousins, extended family, and friends.
Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday, January 10, 2025 at 9:00 am, culminating with a Funeral mass at 10:00 am. A luncheon will follow at the church, followed by burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
