Sharman, Frances D., age 97 of Birmingham, AL, died Sunday, June 21, 2020. She was a long time member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church where she taught first grade Sunday school for 52 years. Her faith and remarkable character was evident in everything she did and even more in her family life.
She married James, the love of her life, on April 23, 1944. Together they loved and reared five children. They were married for 53 years.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James E. Sharman, great-grandson, Micah A. Brown, her parents, Arthur and Mildred Duke, and her sister, Betty Jean Lee.
She is survived by her five children, Cathy Kent of Pelham, Mike Sharman (Elaine) of Decatur, Carol Houston (Bruce) of Dothan, Sue Schwoebel (Brad) of Birmingham and Don Sharman (Michelle) of Snellville, GA;
11 grandchildren: Gena Kent Ledford (Stanley), Stacey Kent Demianenko (Justin), Jeremy Sharman, Josh Sharman (Logan), Dan Sharman (Stephanie), Lisa Houston Williams (Barry), David Houston (Emily), Scott Forester (Debby), Ryann Brown, Savannah Sharman Vicknair (Stephen) and Sam Sharman and 26 great grandchildren.
