

She was born and grew up in Springville, Alabama. Frances was married to the late Robert (Bob) Waldrop for 67 years. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Frances was a sweet and gentle lady, always smiling and looking for ways to care for others. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, and quilting, and hand-stitched many beautiful quilts for her family and friends. Her legacy is one of kindness and compassion for others, and she will long be remembered as a precious blessing to her family and friends.
She is survived by two children, Robert Tyler Waldrop (Anne) and Ann Beard; grandchildren, Jamie Beard, Jeremy Beard (Erin) and Andrew Waldrop; great-grandchildren, Samuel and Joshua Beard; brother Bill Rickles and sister Katherine Mitchell.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Davis (Bob) Waldrop; parents Herbert and Nannie Murray Rickles; son-in-law Sam Beard; brothers Marvis, Elbert, Herbert Jr., and Thomas Rickles, and sisters Madge Dupree, Sue Sanders, and Mamie McCullough.
Visitation will be from 10-11 am Saturday August 25 at Ridout’s Trussville with graveside service at noon in Elmwood Cemetery.
