With great sadness, Temple Beth El announces the passing of Frieda Mazer on June 1, 2025 at the age of 93. Frieda was predeceased by her husband of 75 years, Eph Mazer. Frieda is survived by her sons, Jay (Mina) Mazer, and Glenn (Geri) Mazer; grandchildren: Jessica (Michael) Schuberth, Ryan Mazer, Alexandra Mazer, Matthew Mazer, and Erica (Michael) Brandon; great-grandchildren, Preslee Schuberth and Maya Brandon. Frieda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She knew no strangers.

Memorial Service Immediately following graveside services Temple Beth El 2179 Highland Avenue South Birmingham, AL 35205. Shiva will be held at Temple Beth El on the following dates and times: Immediately following the Memorial Service 5:30 Minyan Sunday, June 8th; Monday, June 9th; and Tuesday, June 10th 4:30 - 5:30 Shiva / 5:30 Minyan. Donations in Frieda's memory may be made to the "Frieda and Eph Mazer Safety and Security Fund" at The Temple Beth El Foundation or a charity of your choice. May Frieda rest in peace and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her. May God comfort these mourners among all the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
