Hannah Sophia George, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend passed away after months of fighting acute liver failure on March 7, 2025 in Houston, Texas. Hannah has finally won her battle and joined the Ancestors and the Divine. She is no longer in pain.
Hannah was born on April 23, 1988, in Fontana, California, and she spent the first nineteen years of her life in Redlands, California. Hannah was a California girl at heart, but after meeting Jarrelle in 2008, her home and life were in Birmingham, Alabama. Hannah’s greatest joy in life was her family. She and Jarrelle welcomed their sons, Jarrelle Breeon Jr. (15), Khalil Cameron (14), Luciano Debarius (9), and Myles Emory (3). Hannah's love for her family was unparalleled, and she often expressed this through the time she spent with them, the care she provided, and the joy she found in life's simple pleasures. Hannah’s warm presence and caring nature left an undeniable mark on all who knew her. Her ability to provide comfort and love made her an exceptional caregiver, a role she embraced wholeheartedly. Hannah’s sons were her ultimate passion, and she devoted herself to being the best mother possible. Hannah also loved learning, and she pursued higher education at Lawson State Community College where she was working toward her associate’s degree. Her dedication and persistence to always learn and improve is something she worked tirelessly to instill in her children. Additionally, her interests were as vibrant as her personality. Like her Grandpa Bill, she loved thrift store shopping to find antiques and anything vintage. Hannah had a flair for girly things like make-up and fashion, with a particular fondness for social media. She relished the thrill of showing up online; always on the lookout for ways to connect with people far and wide and share her light, wisdom, and joy.
Hannah’s plan was never to leave us so soon, especially with four beautiful sons still at home, in the best years of her marriage, and at the height of her career. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Her laughter, her love of life, and her ability to make everyone feel cherished will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
Hannah is survived by her devoted husband and soulmate, Jarrelle, her cherished sons, Jarrelle Jr., Khalil, Luciano, and Myles, who were her pride and joy, her guiding light, her most treasured accomplishments, and her legacy here on earth. She also leaves behind her loving parents, Annette Brown, and Bishop B B Brown. Hannah’s memory will be forever honored by her loving siblings, Esther Brown, Deborah Anna Brown, Claudia Brown, Annette Brown, Bernard Brown, Jr., and Sarah Brown; her aunts, Patricia (Sissy) Brown and Autumn Brown; her nephews, Elijah, Falcon, Hezekiah, Nehemiah, Josiah, Dre’son, Langston, and Fernando; her nieces, Anaiah, Sophia, Ezrah, Idanya, and Aziza, who will miss her deeply and cherish every moment they spent with her.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Anna Pollmann, née Frese and Georg Pollmann; her paternal grandparents, Alma Lee Goff and William Monroe Brown; her maternal uncle, Georg Pollmann; her paternal aunt, Pamela Smith; her mother-in-law, Tijuana George; her grandparents-in-law Inez George and John George; and her brother-in-law Brandon George.
As we say goodbye to Hannah Sophia George, we celebrate the life of a woman who was a beacon of kindness and love. Her legacy is one of unwavering devotion to her family, a testament to the beautiful life she lived, and the countless lives she touched. Hannah's memory will be treasured forever, as we hold her close in our hearts and remember the light she brought into this world.
