James Albert “Pat” Fraser was born on June 13, 1943 and left us on October 27, 2019. He was a devoted son, husband, father, uncle, grandfather and friend to many. He’s preceded in death by his loving mother, Marie Singleton Fraser. He’s survived by his father, Albert Fraser, his devoted wife of 55 years, Rose Fraser, 3 darling daughters: Gina Fraser Williams (Scott), Denise Fraser and Eve Fraser Hulsey (Wade), 5 grandchildren: Brady Williams, Patrick Williams, Isaac Carrasquillo, Isabella Carrasquillo and Ollie Hulsey; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and afterwards worked at Chicago Bridge and Iron for many years. He had a sense of humor that wouldn’t quit and never met a stranger in his 76 years. He loved motorcycles, convertibles, road trips, camping and spending the day on the lake flinging anyone brave enough to try off a giant innertube named Big Bertha. He enjoyed retirement, spending time with his grandkids and fixing things in the most strange and unusual ways possible (the “redneck engineering” was strong in him). He liked taking road trips, as long as he didn’t have to plan anything in advance (he never knew what he was going to be doing on that day). Just have your “go bag” ready and you wouldn’t get left behind when the mood hit (and don’t have the completely unrealistic expectation of being home on any certain day, either). He did everything he wanted to do exactly when he wanted to do it; and on October 27th, with his family by his side, he was ready to leave this world behind. He’s loved and missed; and will be in our hearts forever. Boogidy, boogidy, boogidy on, Pawpaw.
