James T Henson

James "Tommy" Henson, age 73, of Pinson, Alabama, went home to be with Jesus on November 20, 2025. Tommy was a devoted father, a steady presence, and a man who deeply loved his family. Tommy is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Henson, his father Doyle Thomas Henson, his mother Effie Lorene Armstrong, and his sister Doylene Henson Braddy. He is survived by his son Joshua Henson and wife Ali, his stepson Johnathan Farley and wife Brandy, his nine grandchildren, his brother Marvin Henson and his sister Doris Parker. Tommy’s life was marked by love for his Lord and Savior, a dedication to those he loved and a legacy that lives on through his children and grandchildren. He will be missed more than words can express.

Tommy’s family will celebrate his life on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel, 1500 Gadsden Highway, Birmingham, AL 35235.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 am with his service starting at 11:00 am. The graveside service will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery 5730 US-78 Birmingham, AL 35210.

There will be food and fellowship after the graveside service for friends and family at Connecting Point Church (kitchen) 2305 Old Alton Rd Birmingham, AL 35210.
