James B. Rawlinson, age 74, a resident of Weaver, Al (formerly of Birmingham, Al) passed away on January 23, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmas Allen and Helen Lane Rawlinson and sister, Lily Mae Glenn. He is survived by his fiancee, Fay Smith; 3 daughters, Joey Marie Rawlinson, Tracy Lynn Yancey (Michael) and Teri Denise Rawlinson; 5 grandchildren, Katelyn Storey, Kamryn Storey, Olivia – Kathryn Anne Yancey, Samuel- Michael Brodie Yancey and Bonnie Addilynn Blake (Aby) Yancey; brothers, Joe and Harry Rawlinson; sister, Ann Rawlinson and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
James was a member of Stemley Baptist Church and Eastaboga Masonic Lodge #155. He retired from the United States Army and served with the Special Forces (Green Berets).
A Celebration of James’s Life will be Sunday January 27, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel. Family will receive friends at 12:30 till 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
