I couldn't believe what I was reading on caves.org.  Certainly this couldn't be our faithful sauna volunteer.  Such a gentle spirit.  You will be terribly missed. I first met Jason in 1994. Since that time I made many good memories caving, hiking and canoeing with him. He never met a stranger. RIP my friend.

The world is a sadder place and the Birmingham Grotto will never be the same without him. Our love and thoughts to Moe and to all of Jason's family. Thank you for sharing him with us.

Although I did not know him well, I found him to be a good man, full of joy and bonhomie. The world could use more like him.
