Joe Morgan Langdon

Went to be with his Lord on November 29, 2020. He was born February 26, 1927 in Reform, AL to Robert G. Langdon and Mildred Earldene Langdon. He was a member of Tarrant Rock United Methodist Church where he held various offices in the church. He was a graduate of Auburn University. He was a naval veteran of WWII and in 2011 he participated in the WWII Honors Flight, visiting Washington, D.C. He was owner of O.E. Bailey Plumbing and Heating. He loved plants and grew day lilies, iris and hostas He belonged to Birmingham Day Lilly Society, Birmingham Area Iris Society, and Birmingham Area Hosta Society. On Jan 15th, 2007, Joe and Olive celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. He is survived by his son Joe Langdon, nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Olive B. Langdon. The family wishes to thank all those who have been loving and supportive during this difficult time. A private burial was held at Forest Hill Cemetery. Due to these uncertain times, a memorial service will be held sometime next year.
