Josephine "Jo" Adams Moss peacefully passed away in Fairhope, AL and has joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven. She first saw the light of day in 1916 in Jemison and died at the young age of 104. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for 37 years at Eastside and West End Baptist Church. Her career was in retail fashion and she retired from The Clothes Tree in Center Point at age 73. She was preceded in death by her husband Ellis Floyd Moss, brothers and sisters Marion Glass, Morgan Adams, Reid Adams, and Maxine Elliott, and daughter in law Gayle Forrester Moss. Survived by her son, Jim Moss and wife Patricia Nelson, grandson Jamie and wife Cathy Moss, granddaughter Brandy Moss Moore, and great grandchildren Kyle and Jake Moss. Visitation with the family is at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home 800 Dennison Ave. S.W Birmingham, AL 35211, on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with funeral services following at 2:00 PM. Burial is at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Eastside Baptist Church, 558 Gadsden Hwy., Birmingham, AL. 35235.
