Leslie Cartlidge Christian, 49, of Hoover, AL passed away on December 19, 2021. She was born in Tuscaloosa, AL on September 27,1972 and graduated from Pickens Academy in 1990. Leslie was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed. Leslie worked as a registered nurse in the Birmingham area doing the thing she loved most, helping people. Leslie had a true servant’s heart and went above and beyond in assisting her community and friends. Leslie was also an avid gardener and could often be found outside her home attending her plants and also taking care of her cat, Charlie.
Leslie is the daughter of Jeannie C. King and the late Jimmy Cartlidge. Leslie’s grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph N. Hogue, the late Newton Cartlidge and Jewell and Dab Duncan. Leslie is survived by her mother Jeannie King, her sister Leila Lewis (Leila’s husband Mark Lewis), her nephew Zane Lewis, her aunt Rebecca Harshman, and aunt and uncle Linda and Ray Carroll.
The visitation will be on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel at 2:30 pm. A celebration of Leslie's life will follow at 3:30 pm.
