Mulinix, L. G., age 90 of Birmingham, AL went home to be with the Lord and his wife of 67 years, Sara Mulinix on February 17, 2013. He was a long time member of Center Point Baptist Church, current member of Liberty Baptist Church in Chelsea, AL. He retired from L & N Railroad. Fridays will leave a void at Fairhaven Retirement Home, because that was the day he went to visit with the residents. He was preceded in death by his son, L. G. Mulinix, III; parents, Lewis George and Mable Mulinix, Sr.; sisters, Dorothy Almon, and Margaret Williams. L. G. is survived by 3 daughters, Lynn Stratton, Sheila (Wayne) Riggins, and Yohna Goodwin; grandchildren, Seth (Amy) Riggins, Resha Riggins, Skoie Stripling, Garlyn Earnest; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Martha Cook, and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, February 22, 2013 from 12 PM until service time at 2 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
