Lois Ware Morris, 94, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Charles A. Morris; brother, Robert Ware; sisters, Marge Guest and Muriel Brostrom. Born in Minneapolis, Lois was one of the first women to serve in the Marines in WWII. She married a fellow Marine and moved to Birmingham where she worked at Brungart Equipment company as an Executive Secretary for 35 years. She was an avid fan of Auburn University. She was active in pastoral ministry with St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She is survived by her son Thomas W. Morris (Sheryl); grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
