Marc Allen Shehan

Marc Allen Shehan, 67, passed away On April 8, 2023 at Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Marc was born March 18, 1956 to James and Vernie (Perdue) Shehan. Marc married the love of his life, Carol Burke on April 15, 1981.

He is survived by his sons, Marc (Cassie) Shehan of Cullman, Alabama, James (Hannah) Shehan of Sylacauga, Alabama, and Cody Shehan of Nauvoo, Alabama; his brothers, Jim (Bonnie) Shehan of Ediburgh, IN, Terry (Susan Knox) Shehan of Taylorsville, IN, Gary (Cathy) Shehan, and Dave (Christina) Shehan, both of Columbus; his uncle, Jerry Perdue; 7 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Marc grew up in Columbus, but spent several years living in Florida and Alabama. He was an avid fisherman and loved his grandchildren.

Marc was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; his parents, James and Vernie (Perdue) Shehan; and his nephew, Brandon Shehan.

A funeral service for Marc will be held Saturday, April 15 at 11 am at Myers-Reed Chapel. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery. Friends may gather for visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
