Marguerite Hereford Wilson, 89, of Hoover, died Monday, July 28, 2014. A native of Birmingham, she was a 1943 graduate of Jones Valley High School, and attended the University of Alabama. She was retired from Bell South, and was a member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Bill Wilson, son, Steve Wilson, and sister, Helen Bruce. Survivors include daughter-in-law, Sherry Wilson of Hoover, grandsons, Ryan Wilson of Hoover, and E.J. Wilson of Las Vegas, NV, sister Frances Ray of Atlanta, GA, cousin, Bob Hart of Vestavia Hills, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Elmwood Chapel at 9:00am on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, with the funeral service and burial at Elmwood Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
