Marie Wilkes, age 97 of Trussville, AL passed away on June 2, 2014. She was a long time member of Huffman Baptist Church, Happy Hearts Choir, past President of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce, past President of Women’s Civic Club of Birmingham, past President of Huffman’s Business and Professional Women’s Club and State President of the PBX Club of Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Laura Ivey, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Marie is survived by her daughter, Doris (Frank) Miller; sons, Lewis (Inez) Wilkes and Robert (Barbara) Wilkes; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Visitation will be Friday, June 6, 2014 from 10 AM until service time at 11 AM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
